The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem) Award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “thank you” to nurses in a very public way. Please say thank you by sharing your story of how a nurse made a difference you will never forget.
You can submit your nomination for any River’s Edge Hospital Nurse (RN, LPN, CNP, CRNA) by clicking on the DAISY Award logo. A River’s Edge Hospital Nurse will receive the DAISY Award two times a year.

This is why River’s Edge Hospital is sponsoring a recognition program that recognizes and celebrates the exceptional work of the clinical and non-clinical employees at River’s Edge Hospital who demonstrate excellence through their skills and the compassionate care they deliver every day.
Any River’s Edge Hospital employee who is not a nurse (they should be nominated for the DAISY Award … see above) is eligible to be nominated and receive the award.
Nominated Employees are those who are committed to putting our customers first by providing excellent service at all time and demonstrate the organization’s values of Integrity, Compassion, Respect, Quality and Collaboration.
