River’s Edge Hospital Expansion and Renovation
The River’s Edge Hospital expansion and renovation project began in May 2018 and was complete in July 2020. The $33.8 million project was funded through the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development Community Facilities Direct Loan Program and through River’s Edge Hospital funds. More than 31,000 square feet of new construction was added to the hospital campus to provide 25 private patient rooms, an inpatient rehabilitation services area, emergency and urgent care department, and a new ambulance and emergency medical personnel space. In addition, 35,000 square feet of existing hospital space was renovated to expand surgical services, rehabilitation services, pharmacy, laboratory, and add a cafe for inpatient, guest and employee dining.
